Evangelism as a tool to reach out to the lost ones is, the heart of mission. Sometime we spend a lot of time being immerse in other things. Sometimes we say our friends the Sudanese are not yet ripe to do the work of the gospel and so we say we have to spend more time in impacting knowledge to them before we engage them in anything, mission.

But the Mabaan women are thinking differently, after just knowing that they can preach the gospel and share the good news with the little they have. The women fellowship, went ahead to try out the idea, and this they all did, and believe me; it yielded result, a good result, Praise the Lord for that.

The women took the bold step of reaching out to others, they used the door to door system of the Jehovah witness, moving from house to house, praying for the sick, and then sharing the gospel with others that have not met the Lord personally.

In one of the houses they visited, they met a woman who never goes to Church, drinks alcohol and is staying away from the husband in the name of divorce, but after speaking to her she lifted the bottle of bear, throw it on the ground and said, “ today i accept the Lord as my saviour pray for me.” It is like a joke but that is how the good Lord works in our life, praise god for all this.

While in other places, they ware able to pray for the sick, laying down for so long and as the good Lord will have it, many others says we will join you all coming Sunday we have realised that we are missing out in something. To us this is a great achievement for women to preach in sudan, this is so because in he Sudanese culture women are not allowed to preach, sad sometimes men too, unless you are a Church leader , or an elder.

we talked,

the Lord has again done his work, the work of conversion is not the doing or the handwork of man but rather the doing of the Lord and his will, in the past three weeks the Lord have led me to different people, and for his name sake he has drawn them to himself, i was only used to share and then lead them to the Lord through prayers, that is all we did with my wife, this past Saturday. we lead two youths to the good Lord and gave them Bibles and verses to help them in their new found life.

Garden, and it has yielded more than we expected. Last year we tried to plant other things, and this year we planted others too, and it is well with us all. our tomatoes are fine and tasty care for some come to Yabus Sudan.

The kids are having fun here in yabus, aftr a long time, since we returned from our R.R, we brought with us a gift for our kids, but just after we came back we forgot that we brought such a thing from Nairobi. we just remembered when he (Praise) called our attention to that, and he and his kid sister have been having fun since then, with their new KITE.

Sometimes it is said “ good things never come easy” it is not a lie i have seen this saying come to be real before me, since the beginning of this year i have been trying to make friends with the soldiers, here in Sudan, it so happen that this dream is achieved, but since then i have been trying to have a shot with, but the commanding officer, say there will be no photos in the barracks, as it is a highly restricted area for photography, but our friendship keep going well and the small time to share the gospel with the listening ears is making sense. Thanks to the Lord,

But as the Lord will have it, some of the friends that I’ve made are now in Yabus town for patrol, so they took time to see me in the compound. as they leave after taking some water, and a few moment of chatting, I finally have the opportunity that i have been waiting for, to at least have a snap shot with them.

According to military rule, it states, “never give to a civilian your Riffle” but due to our relationship, they happily gave to me theirs to hang, it is not an easy thing to reach out to the military. But thanks to the good Lord for this time, and opportunity to reach out and make friends with the soldiers.

FUN IS PART OF OUR LIFE IN THE MISSION FIELD. sometimes most people think that a missionary is just to do the work of the Lord with out any rest, but as we know all work and no play makes Jack a Dull boy. that is the main reason why, we not only intensely do the work of the Lord, win souls to the Kingdom of the most high. But we alos take time to share our time with the Lord in the work of our ministry, to each other. in a great communion. the name might not fit the word fun, but it is a time to relax and rerflect back as we pray for each other. with some few.

THE NEW FACE OF MABAAN WOMEN FELLOWSHIP

thank God for the women fellpwship, of the Mabaan Church, it has been a blessing to us since the time we started this fellowship some one year back. I has seen the good and the rough side of starting a ministry, this i mean, going through a ministry without a single funding and having the hand of the Lord upon it.

to this time the women are now growing, not only in the physical but also in the spirit of the Lord and also in the relationship with their family and others.

one ore thing the women are now having a new leader, from the indegenes of the tribe, to take over from Victoria as we draw close to our going for home assingment, to Nigerai, ans again they have added a day to the normal one day of practice, to two days.

there is never a dull day in Sudan,our children were, playing in the rakuba i mean a place of rest from the sun, when one of the Ganza guys, came passing with a MONKEY, Hallelujah our small Daughter started running towards it with joy and wanting to touch the little monkey, the man was also kind enough to not only allow her to touch but brought it to the rakuba from the road for her to be able to play with it.it was fun for the kids to have touched a monkey and for Hallelujah to want to share her football with him.

there is time for everything,a time to sow and a time to reap., thank God for his love to us all and for his great care to us all. this year, we are priveledge to be amongst the few that planted here in Yabus sudan, we planted some few things and the Lord helped it to grow, we ate and we even helped those that need. it is a good thing, to see how the Lord is using us in all ways to reach and touch the lives of the 'Sudanese w e say thanks to him, we planted alot of varieties, like; maize, sukuma, tomaotes, okra, and water melon. And in all this graw well and the Lord blesssed the workof our hands.

not just that we alsohav seenthe Lord use us to win souls for him this year, the Lord have used us to reconcile broken homes up to at least 5 this year, and we have also throght the help of the Lord preached and he ( God) has used that sermon and seminars to win at least 12peaople to him, 5 from our past two monhts sermon, and then eight from this sunday, among them are six new believers, and two made their ways right with the Lord. this is the harvest the Lord have used us to do here and we pray that he will use us again, he motto of the family is here am i send me and use me.

THE RIVER AND THE BRIDGE.

As of this time last year, we were not reallyy bothered going through the Yabus river, as the rains and the river was few. as so we comfortable go through the waters instead of going through the bridge, that was God given.

but this year the story is different, as we were going through the river, and rainy season saying that the rains will still not be much this year, little did we know that the rains will fall on us and the river will impassable. by all, now for the past 1month no one was able to go through the waters, even the Sudanese friend s that say that they can swim no go by the bridge.

THIS YEARS RIVER FULL OF WATER. BUT NONE IS DRAWN PRAISE GOD.

as we cross the bridge we can't stop saying thanks to our good bros, that have facilitated the building of that bridge not for that we would have been staying in the compound stranded, thank you ELI FADER. it is a good thing to have friends and have them in the way of the Lord, it will noted that sometime back we told all our friends that we have really made friends, that will not want us to just call them friends, but rather family. we really thank God for that.

but what is really rhe most important is that even our small Hallelujah, now hav a friend, a doughter to one of our fmaily friend here. the girls name is called Rahab,sometimes we even take gift fo r her as a friend of our little daughter.

unforgiven they say give freedom to the offender, but keeps hunting the one that refuse to forgive, that was the motive behind a sermon preached by Pastor Stephen he challenged all to learn how to forgive as that is what our Lord asked us as Christians to do.

one of the ways he said is by doing away with all our unforgiven, but practically he said let us write down and burn our unforgiven and let the peace of the Lord rest on us.see what he did.

It is good to see the work of the Lord moving through you, those that have seen Sudan will agree with me that, it is a joy to help and serve the Sudanese with the little that you have. that is what Victoria is doing, that have brought joy to the hearts and the face of the Sudanese that we see here, her little blessing class is moving great, and God is the only one that we praise for this.

one of the tings they do apart from reading and writing is to play out after45min of class.but apart from this she also teach them Gospel songs and dance, in fact they took a bold step to go with all the kids and prayed for one of them called Rapi, after he was reported sick by his father. thanks for praying for her and for all the kids .

the ministry of the little Blessing school in yabus sudan is growing from one day to the other, as the numberof the students increase, so the number of all th activities that she does. it is wholely supported by fellow missionaries and friends who gave thir money for this ministry to go on without any hindrance, thanks to them all.
now there are a lot of out door activities that they do with the kids.like dancing and haveing to play some games.

SOME OF THE STUDENTS AS THEY DO THEIR CLASSES.something new is now happening, in Victorais ministry. she is a mother of two, and is also a teachers,in the SIM basic education learning center, and also a teacher to her recently turned 5years boy,(Praise) but one of the thing that is now hapening is the fact that she is trying her best to help her child know how to read and write. and all his friends are always waitting for him to come out,and join them as they wait to play with him.
out of her thinking if this is not taking care of, then even our own son will not have to face his education, and that will not mean well for him and his friends for that reason, and the fact that the Bible said " we should allow the children to come to him for the kingdom of God is for such as them" so Victoria with her, kind heart then allow the 4 kids to join in the class together with Praise. but little did she know that this will be a big thing to her, just two days after she took the four inn, all the neigbours sent all their kids to come join the school. so from 4 to around 20 pupils for Victoria to teach. STILL ON THEIR .CLASS WORKVICKY DISTRIBUTING WORK BOOKS TO PUPILS HELPING
THEM TO WRITE WELL BY OLDING THEIR HANDS THIS IS VICKYS WAY OF HELPING TO EQUIP THE SUDANESE FOR THE WORK OF THE MINISTRY, THIS IS A BIT NEW HERE BUT THE PARENTS OF THE KIDS KEEP COMIN TO REQUEST ROM VICKY IF THEIR WARDS WILL BE ANG ALLOWED TO COME AND JOIN THE KIDS CLASS. SOME OF THEIR ACTIVITIES INCLUDE PLAYING AND SINGING SPIITUAL SONGS OR MORE COMMONLY KNOWN AS THE BIBLE SONGS, IT GETTING MORE AND MORE FUN FOR HER, AND ALSO BLESSFUL, TO HAVE THE CHANCE TO HELP KIDS THAT ARE LONG LEFT AT OME WITH OUT SCHOOL. ONE THING THAT VICKY HAVE DISCORVERD IN ALL THIS IS THAT MOST OF THESE KIDS ARE JUST TALENTED, JUST THAT THEY ARE LEFT WIOTHOUT SCHOOL. THEY MAY LOOK DIFFERENT BUT THEY ARE ALL FROM THE SAME TEAM JUST GIVING THANKS TO GOD FOR HIS PROVISION OF THE UNIFORMS.

It was another day of sport, me and my young boys gave thanks to the Lord for his love and grace to us. He provided us with some two sets of jerseys, and 7 footballs, this has been our prayers for a long time now. So we organised a thanks you football match, this match was an intramural tournament that has to so with just the boys, we are 50 in number and so we broke into three teams, and that was how we all gave thanks to the Lord for his provisions.THE MATCH.

After that intramural tournament we then decide to try our skills with other outside teams, so we travelled to a town called, Yabus Gaba, it is around 10-15 KLM away from the place we stay, still we all have to walk this far distance, and play a 1:30 football. One of the things that really gave us joy is that the boys we play with are older and bigger than us, in fact, even stronger, but at the end of this match we were able to win with a goal of 4-1 this was an impressive result being our first away match, that really make us proud, we sang all the way to Yabus, dancing and clapping our hands, it was a big day for us, and believe me the boys played their best, with good passes and good score, thanks to the Lord.

FAMILY TIME,AND TEACHING

these are the families during the teaching sectionFor a long time now we have been wondering and praying for a chance to share, the joy of a good marriage with our other families in the Church, though we once have done this to our student as a form of a seminar, but in the Church there was a lot of gap, that need to be closed. so the Lord brought to us the chance to share about this topic.ONE OF THE TROUBLED FAMILYWe took time during one of the Sundays to introduce this hot topic, to our amazement; it was welcomed with an open arm. We taught that Sunday about marriage, bringing all the families together, each one with his wife sitting close to him, this was not something that the Sudanese are use to but we insisted that it must have to be that way, and the good Lord, helped us to convince them. just then we kicked off the teaching, in just a few time they started nodding their head, but from the beginning they were all shay to sit with their wives, i then asked a quick question, “ how long have some of you sat with your wives like this” some say since we got married others say 8years, ago, the lowest was, 4years back, on hearing this a chill ran down my spine, to make things short we then had both the men and women, making new promises to their wives. The promise was to have a change in their marriage.FAMILIES MAKING NEW PROMISES.
One other thing that we have learned is that there are a lot of problems in most of the marriages or say families that were in attendance, after, asking if there is anything we want to be praying about, a lot of hands shut up. Given the chance to say their request, it turns out to be a problem, ranging from fighting, separation, alcoholism, and maltreatment. We then had appointment with the troubled families, just to have like a counselling section with hem, that really paid off, we were able to start few we have made a breakthrough but some we are still trusting the Lord to have his way, and bring a resolve in the issues keep praying for them.
THE SPEAKER IN ACTION.KEEP PRAYING FOR THESE FAMILIES, AS WE ALSO HELP AND PRAY THAT THE GOOD LORD WILL MAKE IT POSSIBLE FOR US TO BRING A CHANGE.

this is the farm of the church leader
It is always a joyful thing to see that all that a man have been saying to his friends are been put into practice, he reason for saying this is, God has blessed some of my friends this year.
God gave to me the opportunity to always share in the Mabaan Church, and one thing I do is to always listen to that good quite voice that always lead me on.
One day I was given the chance o speak to the church, and so I took me reading from the book of Ephesians, 5: 15-16. I talked to the church on the importance of wisely using our time. It use to be that all the people just wit down and wait for NGO’s to provide for them claiming that this is our land and we have to benefit from it, I told them that the land belongs to them but the money is not theirs, and so instead of waiting fro a man to come and say take this 10 EB, why not you say take to him.
We also talked about, the fact that he who always buys is the foolish man, but he that sells is the wise man, advising them to learn how to sell not just to buy. And if you have no money it is better to start a small farm that will help feed the family instead of buying always and you are not even working to earn the money to use for buying.
It was really a challenge to them to hear this type of talk from the pulpit, and that was long ago, before the rainy season of 2009, we all left the church quite and cold from the sermon.
But, as the Bible says
“My word shall not go Back empty, they shall accomplish the purpose they are sent for” I HAVE SEEN THIS HAPPEN, happily enough for me this past December, I have been visiting the farms of other people from the Uduk church, (there I did not preach) and I found that they have also done something to help their families, little did I know that the Mabaan church members also picked up the challenge to go back to farm. I was invited to one of the farms, and to my surprise it was more that I ever thought of, and I received the testimony from the owner saying, “I have never bought anything fro the market anymore, I have seen the great change in my income and my family never have to stay hungry again even for a day” I was full with joy and I danced, to the glory of God, thank God they’ve heard the good news and are responding to it positively. I visited the others also to see what they have done for last year and it was awesome, thank God for them, and for a fruitful sermon.

CHURCH LEADERS DINNER

THE CHURCH LEADERS AND THEIR ELDERS AND DEACONS.
End of the year is such a good time, as many people here hosted friends, to a big dinner, we were also invited to most of these dinners.
So we thought of what to do and the Lord says to us “invite the church leaders and their elders and host them, tell them about their good work, and also try to advice them on the neglected areas, and that is evangelism”
So we obeyed the voice of the Lord and invited the leaders of the two churches, this I mean, the Uduk,and the Mabaan churches, plus their elders and deacons.
But trust the Lord for his goodness all the missionaries also came and our neighbours also joint, it was a great time as I shared the word of the Lord and also gave my own advice, as the Lord directed me.
At the end of all things the two church leaders gave thanks to God for all he has done and for his love to them, the also appreciated all that took place and called it an eye opener. The missionaries also said their own thanks and encouraged that this will continue all year ends.

KRISTEN'S GIFT

THE OVERALL GIFTThis is yet another time to say thanks to God and to the loved ones that have contributed to our lives, last time i gave thanks to our beloved sister that gave us an IPod and also bought some cloths for our two kids.
This is yet another gift that we received from one family member we call her so because, only the person that love will always be praying for. this sister not only pray, but also sent some things that she thinks will be helpful to our ministry in Sudan, we came to know her just some few months ago, but it seems we‘ve known each other for a long time, her life style and the gift of singing is what really captured our attention to her, she lived a good and exemplary life while here with us, and that made us so proud of her. Since then we pray for each time and each day, for such a good way to live, but to our amazement she went back and sent a lot of good things that left to me is practically not possible to buy now, these things include, CLOTHS FOR PRAISE AND HALLELUJAH, A PAIR OF SANDALS FOR VICTORIA,AND A VIDEO CAMERA FOR ME, this is something that we will never forget about, my wife was full of tears when we received all this gifts, from our sister from the United States, we lack words to say thanks but our prayer for her is that God will grand her the desires of her heart, we know that we did nothing to deserve this all, and that we are not more than the others here, but all we know is that, it is just for the love of the LORD.
One thing that again made us happy is that our kids have to use this cloths for Christmas, since we were not able to buy any for them, this have covered something big for us, and the cloths made this gone Christmas a joyful one for the kids. This year we have again seen how Christmas is done in Sudan, we have noticed a lot of changes to that of last year, people are more organised and there are a lot of new cloths compared to that of last year, during the service people brought thanksgiving offering to the Lord, and for the first time according to the church leader, they collected 956EB, I MEAN ETHIOPIAN BIRR. More to that the celebration, for this year, the food the drinks and everything was gathered from within the church and the members, it use to be that they will request help from either SIM or other NGO’S around, and you know it takes a bit of time to get that, which leads to delay in the arrangements. I talked to the leader and the answer he gave me was. we want to teach our people how to do it alone not to relay too much on others and became a burden to them, he also said that that does not mean that if we lack we are not going to ask for help, but first we have to try our best.
Please pray for them to be more and more trusting in the lord that to put all hope in man, it was really a good Christmas we had two church services one in the morning and the other, in the evening, before the whole church went dancing and rejoicing.

on the way to kenyejiUnusual, this is the title of my blog today. me and my family have been trying to visit a group of people that hardly come to church, all they do is to stay home and go fishing or, sit round the tress to take MARISAA, I mean the local bear here in Sudan,
So this day we took a step of faith to visit with them and listen to them, but the unusual thing is that this was done on a Sunday morning, we are to go to the church but we said no and went to visit with them.
The village is so close to us, but unfortunately, we have not taking time to take the gospel to them until the day I had a talk with their leader, and a great revelation was told to me that I never expect that a small village like this can have such a great deal of problem, and no one seems to have noticed. The name of the village is KEYENJI and the main residence are the MABAANS, and mostly as they told me they are ROMAN CATHOLICS by faith, but to be honest there is nothing going on there that will suggest that there is or has been a church there.
But we took off that Sunday and met with them spent time with them and shared Christ with them, and invited them to the church the next Sunday,
Good news they came to the church, listened to the second coming sermon and 5 out of the ones that came gave their lives to the Lord. They are now part of the women fellowship, learning memory verses to do in the church on Christmas day, they are growing and becoming more and more faithful, some of them have not been to church for as long as 3years, to God be the glory.

Yet another time to share my work with you all, it has been a long time since we talked about our ministry here in Sudan. This Is due to so many factors that we couldn’t help, but god has helped us in this aspect, and the work of the Gospel is moving fast and fine.
After a short time of stay at the compound and talking time to visit and share with the dwellers here in Sudan. We lastly organised a marriage seminar for the BELC students here, this seminar was jointly organised by me and the BELC teachers, but the speaking was done by Stephen Adamu and Eli fader. Eli handled the yes or no aspect while I talked about the topic properly and also answered the questions that there is.
It was nice and was also so beneficial to all the teachers, students ,and also to all the guest that came to attend, all the students came with their wives to this seminar, though most of them were not there, but the whole of the students came and join in this seminar.,
At the end of all the talk, the students leader and also a church Pastor want me to reorganise the same for them and their wives saying that this is good and will make them a better family and will also keep them save from breaking faith with their wives.
Finally the attendants took a commitment to stay faithful to their marriages even in the sight of temptation,
Some of the students that are having a little family problems met me after the seminar and then seek advise from me on how to avoid adultery, and a need for repentance, of indulging in this sin. We prayed with them and then committed them to the Lord for more help. We are happy that this can take place, and that the name of the Lord was glorified, to him be the glory and honour

My sermon
I always thank God for his love and kindness to me, he always use me to bring praise to him, each time I am given the opportunity to speak in the church, here in Sudan the hand of GOD is always on the sermon and his servant.
This month on the 8th – 11- 2009, I was given that chance to present the news of the Lord to the people of the Lord, and It turned out to be good as the good Lord wants it to be.
I titled my sermon, seven great events that indicate the second coming of the Lord.

The good thing that I want to thank GOD for is he used this sermon to bless so many of thee members of the church. As I apply and conclude this God giving sermon and said the alter call 13 people gave their lives to the Lord, that is really great and fine to GOD BE THE GLORY FOR EVER AMEN,
I have been having some counselling with some of them and I know that he will use this to make them strong and firm in his field. Pray for them all.

The Bible say, in all things,give thanks to God.we want to thank GOD for his love to this family and the grace that he has been given to us us.first he never leave us to stay without despite things and resources being so little still he gives us the joy of staying happy in his presence.he provides to us to make us comfortable in all situations.
on the sixth of this month, we had a big gift from one of our sisters by the name Jennifer. Who lives and work in the United States, we came to know her, by january 2009, when they came to visit us in Sudan, to gether with some of her team members, God made that visit for some of us to get to know somethings. first she introduces me to the use of BLOG, AND THEN SHE LIVED a good and a gentle life while in sudan that really attracted me to her and her life style, i can see Christ in her.and we give thanks for the gift of her.
After their stay, she went back to the State to meet up with her work and her family.before she left she promised to send to me an ipod to do my ministry with,because she said we have the gift of singing, but the suprise is that she went back and became sick, and we have been praying that God will give her good health, not even thinking of the promise again all we wanted is to hear that she is healthy again .combined with the economic crises in the states we never thought this will happen seeing that every one is sruggling back there.
But despite all this, she kept to her promise and she sent the ipod to me, thank you for this, and may the good God replenish you with good things that you need, you know that the Bible said "HE WHO REFRESHES OTHERS SHALL HIMSELF BE REFRESHED"I KNOW THAT YOU TOO WILL BE REFRESHED, THANK YOU ONCE MORE AND STAY BLESSED, THE ADAMU'S ON BEHALF OF THE YABUS TEAM ARE SAYING THANKS, FOR YOU LOVE TO US AND WE LOVE YOU TOO.

it has been a long of prayer and dedication to get to this stage, our journey for marriage started since the year 1997, when me and my now wife met, and started to see each other as friends, then we thought that it will end in a short time but we found our selves going on and on in this relationship, doing our best to see that we make something out of it. this we did for 7years,through a lot of ups and downs,we were able to make it to the point of marriage,we got married in the year,2004 on the second of October,many people had written us off saying that our wedding is not going to be a success,we tried to know why so many think so but no good reason was given to us.
with love and trust in our heart,and GOD on our side, we continued to pray and plan for our wedding it was not really easy for us to be able to reach, but we did knowing that we are not alone in this,after our marriage we stayed in jos there we struggled to keep this baby marriage alive. a year after, God blessed us with a big gift, and we named him Praise, this is because we got to know each other during a music concert and seeing all that we have gone through in the planing of the wedding and the birth of the baby we agreed to name him praise, just to thank God for his love to this poor family, and so we stayed for three years and a half just to get things together then God gave us another gift and we called this one Hallelujah, seeing the hard times and the situation that surrounded her birth in Sudan.
On the 2nd of October 2009 we are now 5 years in this happy and promising union we just want to thank God for his love and his care for us and our children, through all the trials and temptations that we went through, we are now five years old in what others sees as not going t be possible. We are grateful,thank you Lord,HURRAY WE ARE 5YEARS OLD THIS YEAR ON THE 2ND OF OCTOBER.

VICKY DOING THE POLISHINGI’ve come to realize that any thing that is well taking care of is going to be the best, this Sunday my wife, and I, both attended the women fellowship, I took the women in Bible studies, few minute discussion on the right way to live a good family life. he women were s o attentive and have been happy to have this kind of talk. But my wife had a different plan for them.
She had them sit down and then said to them I want to Pamper you, all the women started laughing as to them they had never known the meaning of that word.
And soon after VICTORIA took out from her bag some few nail polish and a foot washing soap. Then she sat all the women down and then start to wash their foot, and soon after she started painting all their nails, and I joined in the work, helping her to paint the women legs so as to make the work move faster. soon we finished the painting then we took this photos. as we all watch the women smile and then sing a song of praise to the Lord, they all said we never thought that a foreigner can ever touch this dirty foots of ours, but you did. MAY GOD BLESS YOU.
We thank God for his love to the women and how they are responding to the work of the Lord.
I watch them as they go home and I saw the women I use to see sing in the fellowship, but it is just that they are now finer than the ones with out the scrubbed foots and a well polished nails, hoping to see more of this happen in the fellowship

BABY DEDICDTION

Never a day with out an event in Sudan, this is one of the ways we talk about this God giving country, Sudan. Tings happen all the time, from one event to the other.
Some are good to see and hear, while some are full of pains and hurt, but this one that I want to talk about is pleasant ad good both to man and also before God.
During one of the Sundays in the church that we worship, we went to church and sat down as usual, then we noticed a man with his wife and a small one week old Baby, the baby looks so beautiful and the mother sat down innocently holding the baby close to her in a coddled manner. then the church leader got up to give his announcements, during the time of the announcement he announced that there is going to be a baby dedication today, and the person that will be dedicating this baby is Pastor Stephen Adamu, I was socked to hear him call my name, ad the person for the dedication.
Though I was not prepared to do such a unique job I tried to write a note to him to tell him that he should do that but he insisted, saying the Childs father is the person that requested me to be the person that will do this, In other not to drag more further I quickly took my Bible and started to see the part that I can read to before I pray for the child, so I opened the book of first Samuel 1:24 and I read the story of how Samuel was dedicated in the temple at Shiloh. Then we prayed for the boy and then I asked for the intended name and the parents said his name will be called Samuel,
So we called him Samuel then, together with the church deacons and elders we lifted the child and prayed a prayer of dedication for him to the Lord.
After the whole service I just prayed in my heart saying God, please give to us in this church a sense of planning, so as to avoid this type of spontaneous incidence.

one of the good thing about the missionaries here in yabus is that we live as one and that is so good, on this day we have to go and clean up the pump that is supp;ying the compound with water since we have stayed for a time now wtihout water from the river and soon the students will resume and the few rain that we collect will not be enough for all the missionaries and the students too.
that is not a problem at all but the problem is where the pump is located, this is the part of yabus river that is moving so strong and we have to stand both the wave and the strenght of the moving water.
The big barrel that the pump is fixed inside,colected alot of sand and clay from the river making it very heavy to lift, but still we have to do so if we want to have enough water, so this is what we did.

this is what we use to do s as to have water in the compound, without this no water for us but God is always with us in that no one is drown into the river but the work is always done and done well.

32nd BIRTHDAY

the LORD is good all the time, he is faithful even when we are un faithful.i am ful of thanks for seeing the 32 birthday of my wife, on the 28/8/09.that was really a good thing to see and take Part each year.
this birthday was really different from the rest that she have celebrated, this because it was celebrated out of the usual place, that i mean (Nigeria)moreso our fellow missionaries also did their part so well, the very good friends of ours bought for victoria Sodas,baked a cake for her, bought for her a present and also some few cash,this things are from the Faders, while LORI gave to her a very good hat and a hand Sanitizer.this is Bethany bringing in the well baked cakethis is LORI'S HAT ON victoria's head.SODAS AND FOOD FOR ALL A GOOD AND WELL COOKED UGALI (TUO)Our boy Praise and his two friends gafe victoria some gifts, the three boys of yabus SIM COMPOUND. There were a lot of speaches on that day, we thank the ;Lord that all of the speach was full of thanks for the good life of Victoria, i cought one of the speakers saying"you are a good cook and a good house wife you never complain of the work you and still you never for a day say a bad word, i wish i can get a wife like you, i wiil like you to help in couching my wife how to cook"

THE SHEPHERD BOYS.

THESE ARE THE SHEPHERD BOYS.I ran into these boys on my way to the compound where we live, this was not the first time I saw them at the exact place just under the new yabus bridge taking care of their Goats, these boys are not really new to me some of them do worship at the same church that me and my family worship.
But one thing stand out for sure that I’ve not had contact with them since the times that I have been seeing them there not even in the church. (on a personal bases)
But this day was a special day for me as I took a bold step to interact with them, I found them eating a kind of a grass which they call (Gesh), I too joined them to eat that grass. They sat on the ground I sat with them, it became so funny to them as they laugh at what I do and how I eat the grass with them, I also giggle and smile a little. Some times I laugh out with them.
Little by little as we went on jokingly, but my target was clear in my heart, I talked about some Bible stories like the story of Noah, David the shepherd, and how he (David) rose to becoming a king from an ordinary shepherd, and then we ended with the story of Jesus and the little children, I found joy after doing this and have made it a point of duty to go there and say more stories to them until God give them the grace of repentance, please pray for them

To so many peaple names is not taking into cosideration but to us in Africa a name is so important that some people believe that names are what you become. i use to ask why my dad gave me the name Stephen,and not our tribal name ar somthing MORE African, and when he talked to me about the meaning of the name i the fell in Love with the name.
through the years as i grow up i discorvered that very few people name their children Stephen,i kept staying in my worries, and concern,and each time i find someone with that name i feel so happy and always want to see him as my brother in an unpopular world of names.
my few stay in yabus i've come across two or three people that share the same name with me, but one good thing also that makes me happy is that people now give this heveanly name to their children, on of those is our cook Phatnah, a loving and a caring young and nwely married lady, i first saw her when i came to yabus as a missionary and since then have had a good relationship with her,not even knowing that she was pregnant,unknown to me that our good jokes with her have grown so deep in her heart and when she gave birth to her first son she named him CROWN(STEPHEN)
This really make me gld and i know that our unpopular name is now having some populairty.i love this boy soooo much and i pray that he will grow to be the crown of his God fearing and friendly mum.INTRODUCING THE NEW FOUND STEPHEN.

The life of a missionary can be a challenge to the people he or she is working with, I come to realise that, it is not how much you get in a month that matters, but what matters is the conviction that, little is much when God is in it.
I also realise that mission is not all about programmes or project that you initiated but it is all about life style. But that does not mean that having programmes or project going in your mission field is not important, yet it makes you a good missionary but it is not the real purpose in the field. The first and the most important, is the life examples that you live.
This month has been one of the most challenging, that I’ve ever had in the mission field, here in Sudan. One is the power encounter that we have here in yabus the past few months was characterised by so many strange happenings, missionaries and also the Sudanese teachers that work with the secondary school, have been experiencing a movement of an evil spirit. Some of the times this wicked, ghost comes to press them when they are deep asleep. And that keeps them struggling with this thing from the devil. But I remember that the Bible says” we wrestle not against flesh and blood but against powers of darkness”. So I decided to have a different time from my normal 30 minutes prayer time in the evening to 1hr 30min prayer time, in the mid night.
That has been the case and now God is bringing things to normal. Talking about support.
Me and my family have been trying to see how we can help the churches here, and where the source of this help will come from, seeing that we can’t boast of things coming from our own pockets, and so we decided to take it to the Lord in prayers.
And our God that sees all things and answers the prayers of his servants, heard this prayers and he made a way for us to be able to do something for the churches here,
Our God answered us by sending to us a sister that we hardly know, and that sister sent to our family six plastic chairs and one plastic table, on receiving those gift from the sister, we asked ourselves what to do with them, and we decided to hand that over to the churches here in yabus.
We gave to the Uduk church three of the chairs, and then to the Mabaan church we gave the table and then three chairs also. All the church leaders are so happy to receive these gifts from us. We didn’t give the gifts with the name of our family, but instead we gave these gifts to the women fellowship, and the women in turn gave the gift to the church. This answered prayer reassures us that, God hears and answer prayers. Thank you Lord for everything.GIVING THE SEAT TO THE UDUK CHURCH IN YABUSTHE OLD TIMBER TABLE BEING REPLACED AS THE NEW COMES IN.

4TH BIRTHDAY FOR A LOVELY CHILD

our son Praise just turned 4 on the 31 of july ths year, this is such a blessing to all the family, the reason is that since this child was born he has never celebrated birthday. on the eve of his first birthday.he found himself in a bot of a bboiling beens in the kitchen.this was not an easy thing for me and his mum to come to terms wtih. but at the end we gave God the glory for his love and care he showed to us.
so we moved on till his second birthday, as we try to plan for his second birthday the sme little Praise found himself again pouring Hot boiled water on his feet, and so we continued to struggle with treatment of him,so this year we found our selves trying to celebrae his birthday again, in our hearts we were so sceptical of the outcome seeing that he has never gone through his birthday plans without an event.
but we thank God for his protection this year we were able to have his birthday celebrated without any problems thank you lord.
one of the thing s that really mad us (his parents ) happy was the testimonies that we got about him from the missionaries and teachers that we work with here in yabus.but in all we just want to say thank you Jesus for all that you have done to praise and us we give you all glory, P raise is now growing up well and healhty and also well behaved to us and to all around him

Our little baby Hallelujah I now becoming a big girl, when she was 3 month old she started sitting, at the month of 4-5 she started crawling and at the 8 month she is now standing and trying to move her legs.
That is all through the grace of the lord and his love to us all.

We have stayed a little long without us talking about our pampering ministry. But I want to tell you that we have not stop doing that ministry and would want to tell you that that ministry is still moving ahead, and God is the one that is taking the glory,
Many ladies come to meet with my wife to either do their hair or paint there nails, just some few days back Vicky was able to braid at least three ladies hair, one might say why don’t you say before now, our answer will be we are not just looking for recognition but to give TO God the glory,
Please just thank God with us for his wisdom and ability.

COMING TOGETHER

This days God is taking us to a more higher level in his ministry, we are still doing our work. some of the work we do is not a thing that we plan just for people to applaud us but most of the time we just do all that the almighty is using us in the field, we still say, to God be the glory,
As we all know that we are living in world that is full of so many schemes of the devil, and this schemes some times bring us down. but we always remember the Bible says” when the righteous fall seven times they will also rise seven times”
Here in Sudan there are children of God and there is also the devil, and one of the things we struggle with here is the issue of, marriage and divorce. And that is the thing we as the missionaries also take our time to help them solve. so me and my wife take time in this ministry that we call, the reconciliation and counselling ministry, for now we have reconciled two families and we are still taking to the third family, just last two days I held a counselling time with one of the family that got separated due to some resolvable issue, this family got divorced because of DOG the dogs broke into the room while the wife is at the river trying to bring water for food, and the husband said that it were thieves that visited the room, but when asked what they thieves took from the room he said nothing. I came to realise that he is dating a new lady that he is wanting to marry, and so brings up some kinds of excuse,
Well we talked to both of them, and to God be the glory the two have agreed to come back as husband and wife, just two days late we went to visit them again and now this good family are now back as husband and wife. To God be the glory.MY TIME WITH THE DIVORCED WIFE.PRAY THAT GOD WILL SEE THEM IN THIS TROUBLED TIME.

going according to the ways and command of the lord is the most exciting thing to do in a place where you come to serve the lord like Sudan.i now realize that there is no complete joy in all that a man will do on earth than to win souls for the lord,so far this month is yet another month for our follow up and visitation.
we went to a house that all the family drinks alcohol and in our attempt to shear Christ one of the woman said yes, your God is also our God, then i looked at her and then said i know, but you have to show that you know him by accepting him and then joining to serve him together with other believers and then she smiled and said OK, i will come to church on Sunday and hear what you have for us,
meanwhile all the ones that we visited are good except one that is now divorced with his wife we prayed with the family and the went to see the wife also,in her parents house.i had date with both the husband and the wife on Monday and they all agreed to come for dinner with us in SIM compound.please pray with us.the family that we withness to and the old womenTHE DIVORCED WOMAN IS IN BLACK ANDTHE REST OF HER BROTHERS AND SISTER.WE ARE THEN GIVING THE NORMAL AFRICAN TREATMENT, THAT IS FOOD,THOUGH THE SUDANESE LACK ALOT BUT THEY STILL OFFER THE LITTLE THEY HAVE TO US.THE VISIT WAS A GOOD ONE AND WE PRAISE GOD FOR THAT.

MY SERMON.
I use to wonder that God will use a sinner like me to meet the need of his people, but come to realise that he (God uses the foolish things of this world to confront the wise. I just see the hand of God on me and the small ministry I do as an individual and the one he also gave to me in the team.
This month I really thank God for his sustenance of the things that I and my wife have been doing here in yabus, our women ministry is going on fine, the group of singers (the Levites) is also growing though not too fast as expected due to the members being too busy in school, the sport ministry too is doing good, our discipline and bible studies class is going on fine, so I just give God the praise and want him to take all the glory, my turn came to speak in the church, and I did all my arrangements and went to church on Sunday to do what God will do for himself. I took my reading from the book of Revelation 3:i-6,talking about the church of Sardis. After I gave the background to this book, then I talked about the accusation that this church received from God, and that is that they are dead. I also spoke of the fact that the church have not gone through any persecution, they have not followed false teaching, they are seemed to be spiritually alive but in actual sense they are dead, I then asked what was wrong with this church? and this was my answer to them, the church have been the same with the society, in that you can’t differentiate a Christian from a none Christian, secondly I sad that the church, believers, lastly the church refuse to oppose the ungodly traditions of society but rather they are the ones that promote it the more.
Then I asked our own church in Yabus, are we different from this church of Sardis? I did ask question that applies to the things that the Sardis church neglected and that is the same thing we are also neglecting today in our church. that is : NO WITHNESSING, MINGLING WITH THE SOCIETY,WITH NO CHRISTIAN IDENTITY.UPHOLDING OUR UNGODLY TRADITIONS AND NEGLECTING THE BIBLE,
But I told the church that in the church of Sardis God found few, that are still in total connection with him, so also in this church, there are some few that are still with God, so what about you? You can also be that man with God. And then I made an alter call .to Gods glory 21 people came out to give their lives to God, THE SERMON TIME

if your body jelly or oil is only pure vegetable oil what will you think and do? I went on a prayer visit to some of our member’s house and found that the wife of the man I went to go and see just finished taking her bath, and jus then her kids also came back from the river where they went to take their bath also. just at that instance I saw there mother trying to rub them with a jelly I found out that, that jelly was a pure vegetable oil. That really made me sad, and my wife that was also with me said to me in Nigeria language “ka duba wahala” meaning imaging how people are suffering, so I asked her what she will do to help and she said to me we are going to learn how to make this body jelly in the women fellowship.
A week after that, the women came for their normal song rehearsals but Vicky said “no today we are going to learn a new thing with these women, and that is body jelly”
She took it upon her to teach them how to make this simple body oil.
The women also learn how to make other things like bread and also how to bake bread and to keep their marriages going in the direction of the lord. and that is the day they received their heath advice from Vicky and interpreted by Magi. you CAN ALSO SEE THE BAKED bread

PROGRESS WITH THE WOMEN FELLOWSHIP.

The mabaan women fellowship is taking a good shape by the grace of God, as of the last time that I wrote about them t was a small and a smooth beginning with only 6 women in attendance, the second day of practice brought together 9women and they all continued in that spirit, but today the women are 16 in number that is really amazing. Some of their activities for the last weeks are: 1. First week, training on health. 2. Second week. Home maintenance. 3. Bible Studies 4. songs 5. Bread making. 6. So next week it will be the week for body oil making. There are so many other things to learn from this fellowship. just pray for them.THE COLLECTION OF THE WOMEN DURING ONE OF THEIR TRADE LEARNING AND SONG PRACTICE. DURING THE DAY OF BREAD BAKING.lecture time with the women.

This is the planting season, and time to go back to the farm. The missionaries in Yabus are not left behind in trying to do a small Garden to supplement some of their spending, I also with my family took part in this struggle, we found a small land and tilted the land and now, we wait for the rain to come and water up.
My son Praise also helped me to prepare the land for planting we are all ready now and wait in anticipation for the rain to come.

WE ALSO TOOK TIME TO VISIT AND PRAY WITH THE SICK PEOPLE.AND ALSO FOLLOW UP WITH OUR DISCIPLES.

THE mabaan church in Yabus is now having a new Women fellowship group, this group started out of the desire to help the women here in Yabus Sudan, today is the first day of their fellowship. I took a walk with one of my friend who was a fighter during the War, and he talked to me about so many things that happened during the war and how they lost so many people here In Yabus, He also said that as a Sudanese he still think that this is something that will not be easily forgotten.

snake in the room

Today both me and my wife went to go and teach in our different places of work and after that we sat down in the small Racuba outside to rest for a while, and when we went back to the room to pick something and to drink water my wife found a snake in the room and then she called for help, so we rushed and killed the snake.
This is the third time we found snake in our room. Good news!! My son Praise is really doing me proud yesterday he and one of the missionary in the compound planted a flower Garden close to her small tukul .and when he came back to sleep he told us the story of how it went and we asked him that he want to do next? and he boldly said that he want to be a Pilot so that he can preach to people on his Plane.
This morning again he came to ask for permission to go and be with his friend on her field of Evangelism and so they went to Gandolo with her.
no matter the number of Animals that comes the lord is always with us this is the second time we kill snakes in our room

After the bee sting I stayed for a few hours, but still went back to help see how the Grass will be conveyed to the building site. BLACK STONE

What a miracle!! god is really doing a lot of things that so many people have no idea of here in Sudan,I met with some group of men in the church, and we became friends with them, after a while being together, for just talking and share ideas so one day I asked if any of them know of what a black stone is and the big answer is, what is a black stone? we have never heard of it, so I made them look for the cow thigh bone, and then we started a tutorial on how to make black stone.
Then we started the learning of how to make the black stone, and now they all know how to make the black stone and are proud to know how to do it.
Some of the people don’t believe that the stone works until the saw me use that stone on one of the missionary that got bitten 3 times the same day by one scorpion. That missionary is known as phalice the sic ss director.

HE CAME ALONE AND NICODEMUSLY TO LEARN MORE ABOUT THE BLACK STONE IN MY ROOM.

I just want to say thank you lord for all that you have done to me , well three days was attacked by Bees, this is he true story.
Am helping to build the Damo church, as the work moves on the Grass for the roof got finished, so I decided to go and get some, God helped me and I got the required number, and now come the day of the carrying, so we went to started arranging the grasses for us to be able to put them on the truck, ten minute during the process swam of Bees came up and descended on me others got just one sting, but I got more than twenty of the stings,
But I thank God for his love and grace that he gave to me, normally, this would have lead to me being Hospitalised, because that is my allergy but God made it so simple that I was even able to do some things (but all my body was swollen) but not too severe as it be if I were home,
Now this is my conclusion God has taken away that allergy away from me through his grace. Thanks you all for praying for missionaries. that is tamaam

This is amazing the thing that looks like a joke is now taking a new look ,this I mean the bridge at Yabus. Thank God for his provision and protection over all those that are building this bridge, we have finished laying and setting the cables and we are now laying the suspenders,yet we have not had any injury or any serious accident,we pray that God willbring this to an end without any serious injury. GOD !!! This not a small job to be sincere, i took time to help with the Bridge work and believe me it si not easy though sweet,the first cable was erected and some work need to be done on it to dis engage some cables that was used to pull up the big one,am talking about 70 - 80 meters above the ground, still i took the courage to do so.THAT'S WHAT AM TALKING ABOUThanging on just my foot and hand i tried to get the work done.but for sure christ was with me.

the most important thing is that God was glorified,but the Amazing thing is that after all the hanging and loosing i jumped down from that hight.and i wish to let you know that i have fear for hieghts,but God used the foolish things to confront the wise.

My time was well spent this few days I was able to be among the people that distributed the left over food that was used from the last year’s supply.
It looks like a vacation to me because am on rest from my school work but it become more busy than i expected I help Eli to work on the bridge and I also do a lot of teaching in the church.
One of the missionary we are serving with is leaving a day from today and that really makes me fell sad, and so he took us for a hike yesterday and I must say I fell very bad he is leaving, I wish he stay’s a little longer. He is such a good man and God is really using him.
It looks small but we know that God is glorified.

There has never been a dull moment in Sudan.every day new things keep happening around here in Sudan.two days back my son praise and some of the small missionary kids are playing outside,they were all climbing some empty barrels that were kept in the compound and praise climbed to the top and he fell down and then injured himself.we took him to the clinic to be treated

RECONCILIATION

One more thing to talk about, we took a walk to one of our member’s house,and that house was for sometimes since October been separated from each other, I took note of this active boy in the church doing a lot of good work for the lord and is also the leader of the youth in the church, when I tried to know if he is married, I got a big YES. Then I asked where his wife is and the answer I got was they are separated and because the husband is so active in the church the wife has refused to join the church and she said” SINCE THE DEVIL CAN ALSO BE A LEADER IN THE CHURCH I DON’T WANT TO BE PART OF THAT CHURCH” on hearing that I took time to first bring the woman close to my family, and then I started to talk to her about her husband, it took me two weeks to actually convince her to start coming to the fellowship of the saints.
After that I met with the husband, and talked to him and we were able to understand each other fast and he also admitted to all his maltreatment of his wife, so we prayed together, two weeks later I decided to bring them together, It was not that easy but God is the one that made that possible. And so I and my wife went to meet with them. We talked for 3hrs and were able to reach a conclusion, and the wife has agreed to come back to her husband’s house.
Oh I never wanted to say anything about the problem but, let me just give you a hint, IT WAS ALL ABOUT FOOD,NO MONEY FOR SOUP,AND WHEN THE WIFE COMPLAINED THE HUSBAND GAVE HER A REAL BEATING AND EVEN BROKE HER HAND WITH A WOOD, well at the end of everything God took that problem and gave glory to himself. PLEASE PRAY FOR THEM AS THEY ARE NOW READY TO START A NEW CHAPTER IN THEIR MARRIEGE.

We remember today(Good friday) the Love of God to all mankind,and the power of him dying on the cross to set all mankind free from their sin's,but there are others who don't kn ow the importance of this day.We talked about good Friday to some of the people we are working with and to them this is something entirely new to their mind and also to the church congregations.but despite being new to them i decided to put that into practice, the practice of showing the people how important this good day is to all people,so i planed a service for that day.
All the team members of s i m Yabus gathered together and set out for the church at around 9:30am but to our surprise nobody was there to even sweep the church for that day, but Vicky(my wife )made the church tidy and Bethany and one other lady from roof joined to keep the place conducive for the service,as no other church members came to join for the Friday service,but just the few 7 missionaries.And so we started the service,some few minuet later two small boys came to join the others,and they others came in slowly and slowly to see what this day was like.
Thank God at least 70 people came for the service,and after that the leader of the church said,"sometimes good things are left undone and from now on we will continue with this kind of service every Year.we sang songs in our different dialect,and there was a sermon by one of the missionaries,pastor Stephen Adamu,but the big thing is that God was really glorified.oops,i forgot to say that one good thing happened,and that is that the Uduks were also in the mabaan church for that service and they even presented a song in their own language too.
and the preacher charged the people to go out there and share the good news of God's love them.but this was not the end for me,my wife,Anter,and Garang we took a different road to the community,after sitting and taking tea for a while,we also talked about the love of God to oters who don't understand fully,and Garang who loves children took Hallelujah and Praise for a donkey ride,while we talked of stories puzzles and games to make the day a happy one thank God for his love.

The Yabus Bridge that my Brother Eli fader is working on, is moving on as expected,and God is taking care of all the work and also the workers.A s the work is progressing the Devil is also looking for ways to bring down the name of the lord,no wonder the Bible say's"we should not be ignorant of thre devils devices" this time around he is trying to use a rock to bring set back to the bridge work.And becouse we not ignorant we took our time to pray at the Bridge site.and we know that our God is mighty than ten gods put together,we are still and we know that we shall see the Salvation of the Lord>

As result of the work i do here in Sudan,i took my time to train some for the young boys here in the place where i work,as yo might have known that Sudan is not a country that you can find the type of work you want ,in fact the job is not even available talk more of having to be employed.
Despite that,and coupled with love and pity for the Sudanese i took time to train 4 young boys in one of the trade that i myself did when i was also unemployed and that is the business of Cutting hairs.after the training They conversed for the funds to start a small shop through the Yabus micro loan scheme,and now they have opened the first ever Barbing saloon in Yabus.THE OPENING PRAYERS.

ONE THING I DO IS NOT JUST TO PROMOTE THE BEAUTIFICATION OF THE PLACE BUT ALSO TO MAKE LIVES MEANINGFULAFTER THE PRAYERS THEN COMES A TIME FOR FREE CUTS FOR THE STARTAND THEN A TIME FOR TEA.

When Jesus was going back to heaven, he gave a command saying go ye into the world and make disciples of all nations Baptising them in the Name of the father, and of the son, and of the Holy Spirit. So in regards to this we were invited for a Baptism of those that have received Christ, in a village called Beletuma which is about 30 km drive from the SIM compound in yabus. We all set out for the trip in the morning and arrived there on a good time. On reaching there we attended a short service in the church and afterwards head to the river for the baptism proper, it was fun because it was totally different with ours back home, and about 217 people were baptised that day, both young and old. Before they were dippened into the water Victoria took time to encourage them and also made new friends, Praise also went into the water saying mummy I also want to be Baptised. After the whole event we all went back to the church for second service, we continue interacting with the people and talking with them before we were served with a Hill of lunch. It was very good to talked to people that are hungry for the word of the lord, and it was an encouragement to them also to see new faces people that are not Sudanese trying to speak their local language they were so happy to received us there may his name be Praised.I WANT TO INTRODUCE TO YOU MY NEW BALETUMA FRIEND.KNOWN AS TABITHA.

Sunday they say is a day of joy and also a day for laugther, but this was not really what i see, i see Humility and patience on the face of the people that i work amongst here in Sudan. what the problem was i tried to enquire and the answer is that we still can't finish our church.with that , i also start to be sad,but all the same,i concluded that God's time is the best.Our borrowed place of church service.This is the way we go back after the church service<We carry our long tree branches on our head as we leave the borrowed premises.BUT WE STILL SAY THANK YOU LORD.Despite the slow pase of work,we disagree with the plans of the Enemy,Today i took time to to build a small pulpit for the church

One of the good things in life is to have a rest of mind, one other is to have a good wife, and the most important is to have Christ in your life and to agree to do his work. Though this might look unimportant to you, but to me is soo vital and that is having someone like youR father visit you where you are. That was the case with me this week I received a big visitor from my place this I mean Nigeria, I was lifted up, happy and blessed to see him.
He came and I took him to all the things that I do as a ministry here in Sudan, he was impressed and happy to see that me and my family are doing the work that God has called us to do, though his visit was just for a day, all the same we are happy to him. Before his departure, he prayed for me and my family for God to see us through and continue to give us patience, strength, peace, and good health. Who is this special man his name is Bill foute, the sim Nigeria deputy Director. THANKS FOR COMING WE ARE REALY BLESSED.BY YOUR COMING TO SEE US,THE ADAM'S ARE SAYING WE LOVE YOU.

HAPPY CELEBRATION AND GOOD BREAK.

What about this,my students had a wonderful celebration and we were there to see them off to yet another break,we sang songs and i later presented to them their present to encourage the best performing students.The secondary teachers also attended the end of term celebration,and i tell you it was full of fun.who do you think am Victoria Stephen, the teacher with a small Baby girl.You to can take a look at the Amazing celebration.oops,i forgot to tell you that i cooked the food for the celebration,and also helped in the slaughter,and cutting the Goat for the celebration.

YABUS MICRO BUSINESS SCHEME.

On wednesdayy this week,we had a business meeting with the students of the Belc programe here in Yabus to introduce them to business.this idea was initiated by one of our friends,and it has started yielding good result,the students were able to fill up a business plan form and they also presented their plan to the board members who later screned the plan and selected the best out of them.funds were later giving to the selected groups.though the money was not too big but enough to start a micro business, to help themin life.These are the perticipants at the business seminar that took place at the Belc compoundLater the choosen groups wre presented with the sum of 200dollas each to start up a business.You can see them counting their money after the presentation.ight: 240px;" src="http://3.bp The good thing is that we never Discriminate againts the women both are giving the chance to start a micro business.

This week is really good to me and my family,i completed the work on my roof and now we are no more living in the small room we were but back to the place left.
We were also able to do some work on church as we get to borrow from people we put such into the work and God is helping us.There am i making the solar on the roof of my house the very day we moved inn.We still take time to work on the church

It is well God's willing we shall get there.

It is the Lords doing and it is marvelous in our eyes,this Sunday we took an unusual step to see to it that we at least the church building is completed,and we thank God that we are left with just a small portion,and we hope to finis it on Monday,thanks for all your prayers and love.just take a look at what we where able to achieve today.this is the first grass that started going on to the rafters.to the second

God is doing his work, and no man can stop what God has predestined for his children.As usual, we are still doing the work that God called us to do,i mean the church rebuilding.Today we continued from the place we stopped yesterday,one good thing is that God brought more hands to help in the church work,and i tell you all of us are so suprise with the speed of work today.And also the money contribution that we've got from both members and none members of the church.Good news,as we are thinking of how to get 50sudanese pounds to buy materials that we are short of,a woman came and she gave us 70sdg.and believe me i have never seen that woman but she came looking for stephen and handed the money to me.Thank God for his blessings to his people.Our little biginning We now are moving higher

Lord you are worthy to be praised,you are the maker of man and also his guide in all situations.am really in love with your marcies and grace to me ,this week our church work continues and we've made a significant progress,the poles have been Erected and the help kept coming inn.
I was also able to travel to my former place, or to say my station before yabus,and that is Atar,i travelled to Atar to see to it that my belongings that i left behind comes back with me to Yabus.And thank God i was able to come back with the few i was able to get,but my small generator was left due to fuel contend in it.met with my students and the people from the community, and they want me to return back and teach and also stay with them.i thank God for at last i was ab;e to say goodbye to the people of Atar.This is Praise my son seeing me off the day i was leaving to Atar.That is the Atar S I M compound from the sky.The blue Nile that flows from Uganda.

I also met with the people, one of which is the the wife of the
compound manager,i met her in her house grinding on the stone mill.and several others around.

The last and interesting thing that happen is that the Fooball team that i had in Atar gave me a big welcome,and the under 13 team wore the football cloths i bouth for them and then played a friendly match to also welcome me and i took a picture with them.

That is Atar from the ground,Oh that was fun, coming back to see the people that Loves and respect and also Cherish your contribution to them,for that i say thank you Lord.

The way God does his things is quite different from the way of man. God will always honour his words and promises. It is all about the church rebuilding, things that started like a joke have now taken a good shape, we’ have brought down the church, and have also started to dig for poles. This is completely awesome.
Providence God provide for himself things that at first don’t even know we can get, God provided for us. Just take a look at our work for just for two days.

wonderful is the lord and great is his wondrous work,i want to show you something that God is doing here to all of us in the family,what seems as a joke, that i mean the pampering ministry that my wife learned.it has now started taking a new shape because something new have been added to it,and that is making things more beautiful and God is taking the glory.this include the skills of grinding on the stone,stuffs like maize to maize flour,hair braiding and nail painting.
this la dy her hair is already pampered.she then holds our baby for my wife to braid the other girl's hair this is what she now do to reach the people out here in Sudan

THIS HOUSE WE WILL REBUILD TO BRING GLORY TO GOD.
last week was such a blessfull week for all the members of the church and also the people that are living around the church premises.this is becouse the people are determined to start the new church building,the people are so happy as they see materials for the new building arriving to the church.God so blessed us with some more money and some banbus where bougth,we also where able to go round the bush for atleast 3hrs to cut down woods for the poles and about 78 strong and good poles where found.YOU COULD JUST SEE THE DETERMINATION

we then went fuether to load home this poles,but how was the question that was thrown to me.So i went begging again and the person imet was my good friend and he helped me with a tractor so we went again NOW THE LOADING.You can see the love to make a good place of worship for the Lord

Today the Sunday was very blessful,our friend anter was the one that preached in the church and the sermon was very good,he spoke from the book of Mathew 6:25-34,encouraging us to seek the kingdom of God first.we later took the road to do the bible studies that we always do after the service,then i spoke to the people more on our church re-building,and those that were not in church on Sunday gave their own contributions.and we agreed that we will gather all the materials for the building and then start off the building on Monday the 2-3-2009.this are the pictures of the falling church.you can see what am talking about the two woods are really the ones that are holding the church.the inside of the church is also falling down as you can see in the picture,and also there are no good seat to seat on sometimes women fall from their seat while the service is on.But we know that God will do what will give glory to him,BY PRAYERS THINGS CHANGE.LASTLY I'LL LIKE TO SHOW YOU THE PLACE WE STAY HERE IN YABUS.this is my room that God uses to bring glory to himself. the next one is my bathroom and my wife cooks outside you can see her trying to get some water as we all get ready for church.

please pray that all we have set our minds to do will be done according to God's plan

Thank God for his love and mercy,he has been faithful to me and my family.One other big gift that God gave to us this year is the gift of friends from the UNITED STATE OF AMERICA,this i mean the carlenberg team.They visited the field where we serve at Yabus,what a team,they taught Vicky and her sister Bethany a new ministry known as the pampering ministry,A new way to serve people,this ministry will teach you humility, and also instill the servant hood spirit in you,since they left Vicky and Bethany have been painting the toes and fingers of the people in a humble spirit.I introduce to you the new pampering women.The first picture is picture of a woman who hardly can take care of herself,but since the first paint,she promise to take care of her body and her toes and finger nail,that too gave an opportunity to share Christ with her the next day.

LOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5305310168855912994" />this Monday is going to be the start first football tournament ever organized in the town of yabus,8 teams will be participating in this great tournament,the aim is to start off this sport ministry on a good footing and to make more converts in this part of south Sudan (yabus)this tournament will be followed by a coaching training,and through this trained coaches we can make more disciples with what i call church on the field.the interesting thing is that it accommodates both Christians and none Christians.But the sad part is we need to like feed the participants,please pray for God's provision.

special birthday

Today February 20 was a blessed day to me after I finished from the class, at around 5.30pm my wife and our good friends the faders and also all the other missionaries and the sbna staffs took to the river for a birthday play.
At river all the team members played football at the side of the river and also played volleyball,
then later we all jumped into the yabus river to all play what i call water football and also swim volleyball.
The good thing is that all the people that came to wash and bath also joined to play with us.
then at around 6pm we all jumped into the car to come back home,this is the greatest birthday I've ever had where all the people are so happy no one knows who the celebrant is.so we came back to a very sweet birthday dinner specially arranged by this lovely sister called Bethany.We all ate the things provided and god was praised.my wife did a good job of cooking the usual Nigerian stew and rice.she actually had fun to and she gave me a big birthday kiss.the kids after the swim were wrapped in big blanket by no one else but the same Bethany.
Oh i forgot i am an adult today.

Sunday the 15th of February 2009 was a blessed day, we set out for church at around 9.30am and we had to go through the normal yabus river me my wife and our two kids walked through the help of some small Sudanese children who are going to the same church. We reached the church at around 10am and the service started, the church were we worship is the SIC mabaan church which is almost falling down, we use woods to support the falling church, but this Sunday God used me to challenge our members to raise money for the church rebuilding we made all workers make a pledge of how much the will give to rebuild the church and God helped us and we realised some amount and the church will be rebuild sometimes this week thank God for those that pledge and redeemed I pray God replenish your pockets. So we went back to our normal teaching ministry on Monday Praise God. Some Ganza women who came to sell charcoal in the compound today held our baby and we had a chance to start sharing Christ with them and it so interesting to discuss with them with their smoking pipe.

BUSY WEEK.

What a busy week for me, here in yabus, this week we had friends that visited us from USA and they were six in number oh what a wonderful group to stay with. i learned alot from them, especially this man called Peter a member of the team. this man is such a lovely and humble man, he is free with people and loves to know more about you and how you are doing.Jennifer

is one of the team member who likes to teach new things and ideas. I've learned alot from her calmness and teachable spirit. Cathy is a mother with great compassion for the lost boys, and also ask good and intelligent questions and always wants to correct lovely. i discovered she has an open heart for missionaries, and Sudanese people.Val very hard working and dedicated. i' will always remember him he fixed the class room i now teach in, painted the desk for the staffs and students, thanks for your servant hood heart. that is really the heart of christ.Hanna a young lady with the heart for Christ. you 'll be in our memories, you are the best, you showed love without compromise even with her 2 month pregnancy, she sat on the back of the truck on the hard ions of the bike to help see the people being helped. you are really going to be blessed, and you will see your baby in good health. thanks to Andy who allowed you to follow despite the young pregnancy of a first child. your spirit of giving shall be emulated by so many of us here in yabus. you are like Dorcas in the bible. Rick a father, a leader, a Nigerian American and a mentor, you have inspired me and my family you made us remember home alot thank you for leading this lovely God fearing team to yabus the Adamu's are saying keep on pitching your hall of fame award is around the corner. to all of you on the calenberg;s team i say goodbye though i was not there to say goodbye due to my class in the school. i know that we are connected in the spirit, please don't forget about us because we still love you we wish also to visit you in the state. just after you left Saturday became our usual busy day for my family. me and my wife bought some fish and we smoke them, Zaphaniah help us to split the fish into two to enable them smoke quickly. i also planted some moringa seeds, that was given to us some few years back. i was able to start a small discipleship class's with some two boys in town and also training the church choir in town on how to sing good songs and not just hymes. i met with these women who are not Christians and we started a conversation even though my Arabic is so small but i know that God will make his name to be glorified. our son Praise is really doing well in his home schooling his kid sister is also doing well as she tries to start sitting down on her own. the two kids love each other,they also love people around them not minding who is carrying or playing with them. my wife is now teaching in BELC she teaches social studies and she is faithful to her teaching and the family. i have no complain, dear this makes me love you more.

Call To The Ministry

About my family: we are a family of four so lovely, so interesting, and God fearing, my name is Stephen my wife’s name is Victoria. Our first child’s name is called Praise and our second daughter is Hallelujah she turn 3months old on the 2nd of February 2009. My wife and I got married in 2004 2nd of October after 7 years of courtship. My wife was working fulltime as a secretary in a solid mineral company, while I was self employed as a stylist as well as going to school.
After my university education in 1995 I became a freelance journalist with a monthly paper house in Nigeria. God took me through a lot of trainings, without making me a professional in any of them. I became a bread baker, bus conductor, a house boy. I also went through so many sport training like, wrestling, judo (with a yellow belt) takweando (I have a black belt) basketball, handball, volleyball, football and a little of track events. all of this I did to make life out of it but God took me through all of this to prepare me for the mission field,(am now convinced) however God started talking to me in 1997 by sending me to talk to a Muslim boy called Kasimu,I obeyed did my best to talk to him but God did his work of conviction and the boy got converted to Christ, he is now known as Mathew shorenke an elder in one of the apostolic church in jos Nigeria.
God keep talking to me but I tried to be smart, so he kept me unemployed just to show me that he still control the destiny of Men. in 1999
I answered the call and got admitted into JOS ECWA THEOLOGICAL SEMINARY (JETS) I struggled through school because I have to sell off my shop clippers and other equipments to stay focused in school. my coming to Sudan was not accidental I clearly was convinced that missions will be the best for me and God said I will send you to Kenya to meet with peagiggled and then said let his will be done.
Our wedding in 2004, we found ourselves filling out an application form for a confirmed the call that I received. two weeks later we went for interview, a week later our letter of employment was on our hand, but just when we tried to jubilate, the long awaited job from the government came for me to work as a finance assistant with the federal judiciary, another confusion set in. well to cut long story we decided to give up the government offer for the sake of Christ, and his call.

The journey to Sudan was not without obstacles, we came to Nairobi in 2006 just as God showed us but have to return home due to fighting in one of the SIM base in Sudan, also due to the lack of multiple entry visas to Kenya where we would be evacuated to encase of any problem in Sudan.
We stayed home in Nigeria for one year and God in his will brought us back in July 2008.we started our ministry in Atar a small community with small number of
People just in the middle of no where.
Accessibility. The only road is the Nile which has to ride on the boat for 8hours before you can buy a cup of rice. But we were able to do what God really wanted us to do. We had a sports ministry with the youths and I was able to purchase a set of jerseys for them and the Sunday school was moving fine, we were planning to produce a video, women ministry by my wife, and then personal evangelism that also gave God 3 new converts. 2 from my sport ministry 1 from the students I was teaching in the school. Some work like in the compound where we live. I was able to renovate the old toilet that has fallen, and then planted some tree nurseries. When the time came for us to have our second baby we went to Kurmuk a small town at the border of Ethiopia. While every other missionary gives birth to their babies in a big hospital in Nairobi God took us to this village and we are the first Sudan missionary to deliver in Sudan and so we named the cute baby Hallelujah. Kurmuk was not left out I started a little bible discussion with 4 Muslims 3 at the place where we stay and then one called saiid at the market. Though we didn’t conclude but God was able to use me to glorify himself by bringing 4 converts to him {from two of my sermons in the church}. Yabus is a new place for me but I was able to contribute when I am needed. I build one cute toilet that we presently use, and
My sport ministry have also started not forgetting my singing ministry; we were able to start a choir at yabus to the glory of God.
A TRIBUTE TO MY WIFE.
Vicky {mama} as I called her is the most beautiful and loving woman in the world{without exaggeration} she stood by me in times of hardship and trials we cried together and comfort each other. Vicky is spirit filled because she left her well paid job to follow me without complain to Sudan and other mission fields we’ve worked at in Nigeria. Sweetheart I will not forget the delicious food you cook for me and the kids {there is no cook like you}.
My son Praise is the most brilliant boy. At 3 years old he can read, write and memorize scriptural verses. Boy he is going to the best pilot in the world. I pray your dream comes true. {This is his dreams and desire}. We say as a family we are hard working and dedicated, committed and loving, it is not by our strength that we do all these, but by the spirit of God. We can all things through Christ that gives us strength.

HI,friends how are you hope all is perfect and cool,me and my family are missionaries in Sudan, Yabus to be precise,we live and served in several places in Sudan we worked in a small town called atar in one of the state of the south called jongle state,we also have stayed in kurmuk and lastly now in yabus.

we're from Nigeria and God called us to live and work in sudan we obeyed his call left all our comfort and followed his direction.we come to sudan in the year 2006 but left back to nigeria due to visa issue.God in his own ways brought us back to sudan after one year of home stay.please pray for us as we seek God's leadership.you can also send us your comment and concern or encouragement,
